Summary:

The novel coronaviruses belong to the β genus. It is coated, the particles are round or oval, often polymorphic, with its diameter of 60 nm-140 nm. Its genetic characteristics are significantly different from SARSr-CoV and MERSr-CoV. The current studies show that it is 85% homology with bat SARS-like coronavirus (bat-SL-CoVZC45).

Based on the current epidemiological investigation, the incubation period is 1 to 14 days, mostly 3 to 7 days. The main manifestations include fever, fatigue, and dry cough. Nasal congestion, runny nose, sore throat, myalgia and diarrhea are found in a few cases. Severe patients often develop dyspnea and/or hypoxemia one week after the onset of symptoms. In severe cases, they progress rapidly to acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS), septic shock, metabolic acidosis which proved difficult to correct, and coagulation dysfunction. A few patients are critically ill and even die. Most patients have a good prognosis. Under normal circumstances, the body can produce IgG/M antibodies after

infection with the virus. IgM antibodies generally start to rise within 1 week of the initial infection and reach a peak in 2 to 3 weeks. IgG appears later than IgM, generally appearing about two weeks after infection, and reaching its peak in the fifth week, which can last for 6 months or even several years. When the patient's IgG antibody titer in the recovery period is 4 times (or above) higher or lower than that in the acute phase, it has clinical diagnostic significance for viral infection. The detection methods include immunochromatography, enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA), etc.

The main ingredients on the reagent strip are: nitrocellulose membrane, absorbent paper, PVC board, and other test strip support; the reagent strip is coated with goat anti-human IgM/G antibody (each reagent strip contains 0.11 μg to 1.12 μg) and goat anti-rabbit IgG (each reagent strip contains 0.20 μg to 1.50 μg).

Storage and stability:

The test card is valid for 15 months at 2 ℃ to 30 ℃. Transport and storage should be carried out at 2 ℃ to 30 ℃.
